One Body Together
March 1, 2026
The church functions as the body of Christ, with Jesus as the head directing every aspect of our collective life. While Christians have different spiritual gifts and roles, we are united as one body where every member has essential purpose. When each person faithfully uses their gifts and works together with others, the entire body grows in Christlikeness and effectiveness. However, when members don't fulfill their roles, the whole body suffers and becomes less effective. God designed us to work together, not as independent believers, and our unity comes through each person doing their part under Christ's leadership.
Sin And Love
March 8, 2026
The cross represents the intersection of two powerful realities: our sin and God's love. From our perspective, the cross is about Jesus bearing our sins and providing the only solution to humanity's sin problem. From God's perspective, the cross demonstrates His ultimate love for us, as He gave His Son while we were still sinners. However, God's purpose extends beyond mere forgiveness to complete transformation and sanctification. The cross doesn't just offer us a ticket to heaven, but calls us to become new creations in Christ. This transformation should be visible in our daily lives as we live in holiness and demonstrate Christ's reality to the world around us.
Death & Life
March 15, 2026
The cross represents far more than a religious symbol - it tells the story of every believer's journey from death to life. Jesus went to Jerusalem specifically to die on the cross, and He calls every follower to take up their cross daily and die to self. This isn't metaphorical language but a literal requirement for authentic Christian living. Romans 6 teaches that our old nature must be crucified with Christ so we can walk in newness of life. The cross symbolizes both death and resurrection because you cannot have one without the other. Daily dying to selfish desires allows Christ to live through us as living sacrifices.
Death to Resurrection
March 22, 2026
The cross and resurrection aren't just historical events—they're meant to transform how we live today. When we become Christians, our old sinful nature dies with Christ, and we're raised to new life in Him. This means we're no longer slaves to sin but are called to live as God's masterpieces, created for the good works He has prepared for us. True faith isn't just about believing in Jesus; it's about daily crucifying our old self so Christ can live through us. The question isn't whether you believe in the cross, but whether it has truly transformed your life from spiritual death to resurrection living.
